Jaw Stretching Exercise

1. Place your thumb against the biting edges of your upper front teeth and yur index finger against the biting edges of your lower front teeth.

2. Try to actively open your mouth as wide as possible using your fingers as an aid, as indicated. Repeat five times.

3. Relax your jaw as much as possible and attempt to open your mouth as wide as possible using only your fingers. Repeat five times.

4. Be sure to maintain the military tuck while performing this exercise.

5. Some people may find it more beneficial to perform this exercise with both hands, as indicated.
